  • ZAGRO Vietnam Co, Achieve ISO 22000 Certification

    2 August 2016 – Zagro Vietnam Co., Ltd has been awarded ISO 22000 Certification for all its production facilities after a period of evaluation and planning for the Food Safety Management system standard. This certificate was accredited by the DNVGL Business Assurance in Vietnam.

    This milestone is an addition to Zagro’s growing list of accomplishments to perform, sustain and to continuously provide solution to the customer ever changing needs. With this certification, Zagro Vietnam Co assures farmers of delivering a consistent quality premix at their doorstep.

  • Indo Livestock 2016 Expo & Forum Jakarta, Indonesia

    Jakarta once more hosted the INDO LIVESTOCK 2016 Expo and Forum, last July 27 – 29, 2016 at the Jakarta Convention Center. The event, which is the 11th Indonesia’s No.1 Livestock, Feed, Dairy, and Fisheries Industry Show – brought together almost 12,000 trade visitors and buyers and over 350 exhibitors from 33 countries across Asia.

    INDO LIVESTOCK 2016 Expo and Forum is dubbed as the must-attend event for key players and buyers in the industry as an avenue to source for the latest technological trends for pig, poultry, dairy feed and fisheries business.


    Zagro was very well received as an exhibitor during the 3-days event, inducing positive interest as an Animal Health solutions provider with a wide portfolio of products. Zagro wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to all the visitors, customers & exhibitors who visited their booth during the event.

  • Zagrosol Range Product Launch 2016, Indonesia

    Following the successful product training for Zagrosol to PT SHS, held at Jakarta and Surabaya Indonesia last March 2016, Zagro PT Indonesia officially launched its range of oral vitamins to expand its market in water supplement in this region and raise the awareness of what liquid supplements can offer.

      

      

    The product launch held on May 18-19, 2016 was headed by Zagro Asia’s Regional Manager for Technical and Sales, Ms. Karen Wee, Tecnical Sales Specialist for Animal Nutrition, Ms. Anelynne Labanen, and PTZI team, in collaboration with Professor (Riset), Dr. Ir. Budi Tangendjaja, M. App. Sc, as guest speaker. This endeavor aims to build sales momentum and boost business growth.

    A total of 207 attendees were present in this 2-day event held in IPB International Convention Center, Botani Square Bogor – West Java & Hotel Santika Premiere Malang – East Java – Indonesia.

  • Agrilivestock 2015- Yangon, Myanmar

    Myanmar is the next major growth market for feed and livestock production in the region. Agrilivestock 2015 is the biggest international agriculture livestock & feed production exhibition & conference in the country which was held from 26-28 November 2015 at the Myanmar Event Park in Yangon.

    Hosted by the Myanmar Livestock Federation, the exhibition had attracted a record 150 international companies including both local and international players. The exhibition highlighted the latest trends and technologies on feed management, animal health and modern farming system. Zagro was present during the event to keep in touch with the distributors and end-users and to promote the company’s global brand.

    Zagro sent out their gratitude to all the visitors, customers & exhibitors, who visited the booth during this event.

    Distributors wanted for Western Australia olive products

    Two Western Australian olive businesses are heading on a new path, now under the guidance of ZAGRO Asia.

    A publicly listed group in Singapore with 60 years of experience in the agribusiness industry, ZAGRO has an industry presence in more than 70 countries worldwide. The company has decided to selectively invest in the agri-farming of non-commoditized products, with olive farming identified as one promising avenue.

    The 7000-tree Wickham Olive Grove at Gingin has been purchased by the company in Western Australia and will continue to produce a range of high quality Kalamata table olives and olive oil. Following organic practices and free from chemical application, Wickham Grove is the only olive producer in Western Australia producing Kalamata olives exclusively in its own processing plant.

    ZAGRO has also taken a strategic interest in Eagle Vale Olives, in the Chapman Valley north of Perth. A family run business for 20 years, the owners felt it was time for another company who share the same aspirations and passion to expand Eagle Vale Olives to an international level.

    The business produces a quality range of olive products, from table olives, tapenade and infused olive oils to award winning extra virgin olive oil.

    ZAGRO Asia are now looking for importers and distributors for these high quality olive products, and welcome enquiries from interested parties.

  • Aviana Kenya, 2015

    Livestock production plays an important economic and socio-cultural role among many communities in Kenya. The key livestock subsectors are beef and dairy cattle, sheep, goats, camels, pigs and poultry. Aviana Africa is an international exhibition of poultry and livestock expected to display various products and innovative technology targeting livestock industry in Kenya as one of the major consumer. The exhibition aspired to educate farmers, Veterinarians and animal health technologist about the latest technology on livestock related field. International exhibitors from Europe, Middle East, Asia and different African countries participated in the event.

    Zagro which has been present in African market for more than 10 years participated in the 2-day event from July 02-03, 2015 in Nairobi Kenya to showcase its brand. Working hand in hand with the existing distribution partners, Zagro aimed to identify further distribution channels in Africa region and also to establish and promote the global brand. Zagro would like to thank everyone who visited our booth at this event.

  • ZAGRO Growing with You: Plant Tour, Happy Hour and Dinner

    Concurrent with VIV Asia 2015, the company decided to hold an invitational plant tour and dinner at the fully fitted Zagro Thailand Limited office located at 6/6 Moo 4, Rangsit-Nakornnayok Road Bueng Ytho, Thanyaburi Pathumthani, Thailand.

    Guests took a tour around the vicinity of the warehouse and the newly developed office. They were showed the facilities such as guest rooms, auditorium, the bar, gym and the garden. A brief history about the amenities was shared to show guests the inspiration behind the concept of the structures.

    Business partners and guests from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, UAE and Morocco gathered together to celebrate this milestone. Guests were welcomed and entertained by Thai Cultural dancers and delectable local cuisines were served.

    ZAGRO completes Acquisition of Orion Crop Protection

    ZAGRO Asia Limited (“ZAGRO”), a public listed group in Singapore, has announced on 30th May 2014 that its subsidiary, ZAGRO Singapore Pte Ltd, has completed the acquisition of New Zealand’s largest independent agrichemical company, Orion Crop Protection (Orion).  ZAGRO now holds the majority shareholding of 80% of Orion.

    Orion Crop Protection is the 5th largest distributor of crop protection products in New Zealand. It has a large product portfolio with more than 100 products covering all major crop markets. Orion has leading positions in several markets such as herbicides for use in maize, forestry and pasture. Along with the core commercial crop protection business, Orion has a small pack consumer business for retail sale in the home and garden market.

    Orion Crop Protection products are primarily distributed via rural retailers such as Farmlands, ICD Group, PGG Wrightson, RD1, Elders and various independents.

    In addition to the two founders (who remain as Directors), Orion Crop Protection employs 12 full time and one part time staff. Six staff are based in the head office in Christchurch. The other staff are based at various locations throughout the country.

    It is anticipated that the acquisition will provide further opportunities for growth. In particular, Orion Crop Protection will have access to ZAGRO’s portfolio of products in crop care and other markets. In addition, ZAGRO will explore opportunities to expand Orion products through ZAGRO’s international network.

    ZAGRO is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of crop care and animal health products globally. With 60 years of experience in the agribusiness industry, ZAGRO has manufacturing facilities, operating offices and presence in more than 70 countries.

    ZAGRO’s established portfolio of products for Animal Health, Crop Care and Public Health could bring viable options to the Australian customers as the decision to manage Eureka Gold directly will give ZAGRO a significant foothold in the Australian market.

    EUREKA GOLD, a Diazinon-based off-shears product for sheep lice control is currently the best choice in the off shears spray-on market in Australia and has no known field resistance. EUREKA GOLD, applied within 24 hours of shearing, is a spray-on backline lice treatment indicated for the control of organophosphate (OP) susceptible, synthetic pyrethroid (SP) and insect growth regulator (IGR) resistant strains of the sheep body louse (Bovicola ovis). Containing diazinon, Eureka Gold provides rapid knockdown of lice by disrupting their nervous system without the need to dip sheep. This avoids the inconvenience of dipping and its associated costs.
