Description
Calpozag is a concentrated calcium supplement designed specifically to meet calcium demand of dairy cows during calving. With proper calcium supplementation, it will prevent calcium deficiency symptoms like leg weakening and post-parturient hypocalcaemia or milk fever in dairy cows.
Last stage of pregnancy until calving requires significant amount of calcium. During this period, fetus is at peak growth while initiation of milk production occurs. In fact, the first milk that the cows produce known as colostrum has approximately twice as much calcium than the normal milk. Moreover, calcium is very essential for proper muscular activity. During calving, cows undergo hard labor and strong uterine muscles contraction. This process requires a lot of calcium in addition to energy.
On the other hand, as calving approaches, some hormonal imbalances and other factors affects feed intake. As a result, less calcium will be absorbed while the demand increases; therefore supplementation of significant amount of calcium is necessary.

Storage Recommendation:
Store in a cool and dry place. Avoid direct heat and sunlight. Keep the bag tightly closed and out of reach of children.
